Rethinking Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning in the AI Era

Rethinking Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning in the AI Era

Smarter impact measurement, qualitative analysis at scale, and ethical workflows

Most nonprofits aren’t short on data — they’re short on time to read it. Qualitative feedback is often the first thing a stretched team abandons, and the evidence that does get read usually arrives after the decision window has closed. This practical workshop gives NGO and SPO leaders one map of the MEL lifecycle, shows exactly where AI can help and where it must stay out, and puts a real qualitative analysis workflow in their hands — from a practitioner who has run it on hundreds of schools.

About 10x Impact Labs
10x Impact Labs is a tech, data and AI practice built for nonprofits to design strategy and strengthen MEL systems. Based in Bengaluru, it has trained 1,200+ non-profits and delivered 75+ social-impact solutions

Why This Session Matters

Leaders across the sector describe the same bottleneck: not a shortage of data, but no bandwidth to read the data they already hold. Interest in AI is high, but adoption is uneven and mostly private — one person, one chat tool, no policy, unmasked data. This session treats getting value from data as a leadership and change-management problem, not an IT one, and gives leaders a working method plus the guardrails to use it responsibly.

Common Questions

No. The session is built for a mixed-maturity room of NGO and SPO leaders, not technologists or MEL specialists. Every exercise is designed to be run by a non-technical leader.
You’ll leave with a MEL lifecycle map for your own organisation, a PII-masking habit you’ve already practiced, a prompt framework that works on any AI tool, and one named next step — the single MEL task you’ll improve first.
It’s built around one practitioner’s real problem — Key Education Foundation’s early-childhood MEL bottleneck across hundreds of schools in three languages — not a tools overview. You run the workflow yourself in a live breakout rather than watching a demo.
You can attend as a standalone session; no prior participation in the Learning Series is required. It builds on the same foundation as the rest of the series — explore the full calendar if you’d like to go deeper.
The 100+ AI Tools for NGOs resource kit (co-curated by 10x Impact Labs and Sattva IPN), early access to ChatMnE, a four-question tool-evaluation checklist, and a Dos and Don’ts sheet for your team.
