An interactive session with Matthew Spacie, founder of Magic Bus in Mumbai

Magic Bus, which Matthew established in 1999, has grown from a small group of volunteers conducting informal rugby sessions for disadvantaged children in Mumbai, into an award-winning NGO working to move millions of children and youth from highly marginalised communities out of poverty. Matthew was the COO of Cox and Kings, India’s largest holiday tour operator when he set up Magic Bus at the age of 29.

Matthew, who also co-founded http://cleartrip.com in 2006, has been an Ashoka Fellow, a TED Fellow and as an Asia Centre for Social Entrepreneurship and Philanthropy Fellow. In 2007, he was awarded an MBE for services to children. Matthew is currently Executive Chairman of Magic Bus Global, leading operations in India, Singapore, US, UK, Myanmar, Bangladesh and Nepal.
