We held the third edition of our 9-day residential program from August 3rd to 11th, at the Ashoka University campus. The cohort comprised 17 senior leaders with expertise in fields like HR, finance, strategy, sales and marketing, across industries such as FMCG, private equity and defence.

ILSS conducts third edition of Leadership Program

India Leaders for Social Sector (ILSS) held the third edition of our 9-day residential program at the Ashoka University campus from August 3rd to 11th, 2018, . introducing participants to the country’s development sector landscape, the intricacies involved, and the many ways in which they can engage more meaningfully with social issues.

Over nine days of interactive and inspiring sessions with philanthropists, practitioners, foundation heads, NGO leaders, thinkers, influencers and various other stakeholders in the development sector, our participants gained multiple perspectives on areas such as public health, gender, education, livelihoods and inclusion, among others. As well as a nuanced understanding and appreciation of the various, interconnected factors at play in development issues, participants also had the opportunity to travel inward, learning about the value of deep listening, humility and empathy as social impact leaders.

The cohort—our third since we launched the programme in January 2018—comprised 17 senior leaders with expertise in fields like HR, finance, strategy, sales and marketing, across industries such as FMCG, private equity and defence. It is our hope and intent that at the end of the nine-day programme at Ashoka University, they are informed, enriched and inspired to find their own paths in the social sector, adapting with humility, empathy and deep commitment. As one participant said, “There is a notebook full of takeaways from these nine days!”
